Club dues for the upcoming season will vary by team. 

Each athlete’s club dues cover:

  •  USA Volleyball membership
  • Practices and coaching fees for 2 to 3 practices a week 
  • Entry & Coaching Fees for 3-SCVA Qualifying, 3-SCVA Mandatories, and 2-SCVA Finals Tournaments.
  • Player Uniform Packages include:  Practice T-Shirt; jerseys, spandex, warm-ups, and player backpack.
  • College Recruiting Assistance & Website Player Profile Page – College referrals and assistance. 

Any fees associated with travel (i.e. transportation, hotels, meals, etc) are not included in the athlete’s club dues and will be billed separately and according to cost per trip

Questions

When is club season?

Players in high school have 2 seasons:

  1. Fall: The season runs for about 5 months starting in September and ending in January
  2. Spring: The season runs for about 2 months from May to June (if competing in Junior Olympics, ends in mid July)


Players who are in middle school or younger:

  1. There is one full club season. The season starts in September and ends in June (early July if competing in Junior Olympics)

What is the cost?

It depends on what team your son is on and if that team is traveling to Junior Olympics.

How do tryouts work?

There are typically fall season tryouts for high school players the first week of September. The Spring season tryouts are typically in May (After high school season ends)

Middle School or Younger: Tryouts will be in early September.


How do Practices work?

Each team will practice 2-3 times a week at Momentous Sports Center or at a high school in Irvine. Practice times will depend on the team.

Tournament information:

There are sanctioned and organized by the Southern CAlifornia Volleyball Association (SCVA). Most tournaments start at 8 am and end around 2 pm. The tournament schedule can be found here

We do not offer any guarantee of playing time to any athlete. We understand that playing experience is important to our player’s development so our coaches will do their best to get all players on the court. However, our coaches’ priority at tournaments is to focus on what’s best for the team.

When is club season?

High School athletes: Club season starts with tryouts in August. Practices start at the end of November or beginning of December. The competitive season runs from January through June.

Middle School and Younger: Club season starts with tryouts in October. Practices start in November. The competitive season runs from January through June.

Most teams will either qualify for the Girls’ Junior National Championships or attend another end-of-season tournament such as Volleyball Festival, AAU’s, or the Summer Soiree in Anaheim and their season will end in late June/early July.

How many times a week do you practice?

Where and how often are tournaments

Teams will play an average of two tournaments per month. Mandatory tournaments are often held in Orange County primarily at the American Sports Center in Anaheim but occasionally they are hosted elsewhere.  One Mandatory tournament for most age groups is held in the San Diego area.
